I'm interested in the tools we use as communities living together in a series of connected small places on this planet. I like to question the impact of these tools and to design alternatives.

Themes

• Tools & community. How the tools communities use shape what they can do and be, and what it might mean to design tools that genuinely support collective flourishing.
• Community energy. How energy transitions play out in place-based communities, and what communities need to shape those transitions on their own terms.
• Critical making. Using design, prototyping, and making as methods for research, building things to surface what observation alone cannot reach.
